Removing White Heads: What You Need To Know

Whiteheads are a bit different than blackheads. Blackheads are pores that are clogged with dirt, grease, and oils. The more that settles into these pores, the larger these pores will get. Whiteheads, however, are pores that are clogged with dead skin cells, oil, and bacteria. They are a form of acne and are raised bumps on the face, but they can also appear on the rest of the body as well. To help you clear up whiteheads and prevent them in the future, read on for helpful tips.

Keep Your Hands Off Of Your Face

You need to stop touching your face. The bacteria and oils you have on your hands are then spreading to your face every single time you touch your face. Stop touching your face and keep your hands off, but if you must touch your face, you need to wash your hands first with soap and water to be sure they are clean.

Wash Your Face Daily

Be sure you are washing your face daily, even more than once if need be. Remove makeup from your face each night before you go to bed so the oils in your makeup aren't clogging your pores. If you work out, wash your face afterwards to prevent the dirt and bacteria from sweating from clogging your pores as well. Wash your face with a gentle facial cleanser. To help get your pores clean, use a face wash with exfoliators in them.

Eat A Proper Diet

Eat a diet that includes a lot of fresh fruits and vegetables, which contain vitamins and minerals that are good for the entire body and especially good for your skin. Eat less of foods that contain a lot of grease and oils, such as burgers and french fries. Eat green, leafy vegetables, and eat them clean without added butter or greasy cheeses on them.

Drink Water

Be sure you are drinking plenty of water, which can help improve your skin tone and texture and can help you clean out your pores as well. Drink at least 8- 0 glasses of water per day, and drink fewer sugary drinks such as soda or juices. Replace at least one of your non-water drinks with water each day, and you'll notice a difference in your entire body and your skin as well.

If you have whiteheads, don't attempt to pop them or pick at them at all. You'll only end up causing injury to your face, and you'll cause acne scars. Instead, leave these whiteheads alone; instead, use a gentle cleanser to clean your face and allow the white head to remove itself. If you have a lot of whiteheads, or your acne is painful at all, visit your dermatologist for help with your acne. You may need a medicinal acne treatment to help you.
